Earlier, a Facebook video clip Hosna went viral on social media platforms seeking help to escape alleged torture by her employers in Saudi Arabia.

Victim Husna Akter, wife of Shafiullah of Ajmiriganj upazila of Habiganj, went Saudi Arabia to change her luck about 3 weeks ago after being recruited as a housemaid in a Saudi family by a local agency named ‘Arab World Distribution’.

In the video clip, circulated on Social media platforms including Facebook, Hosna claimed that she was experiencing torture and harassment by her Saudi employers.

The housemaid sent the video clip to his husband Shafiullah seeking help to escape the torture and return Bangladesh.

After receiving the video message, Shafiullah went to the office of Arab World Distribution to complain about the matter.

But officials of the recruiting agency demanded Tk 1 lakh for bringing Husna Akter back from Saudi Arabia, according to her husband.

Shafiullah also alleged, “They (officials of the recruiting agency) hurled abusive words at my wife.”

Later, a few days ago, he posted the video clip in Facebook with the help of his brother seeking help in returning her wife home.

Shafiullah claimed that Shahin, a local broker, sent Husna to Saudi Arabia promising domestic job through recruiting agency Arab World Distribution.
