A mother of a class-V student died of shock when she came to know that her daughter got pregnant in Borhanuddin upazila of Bhola.

According to locals, the mother has taken her daughter to a local doctor suspecting that a tumour may have started to develop in her abdomen.

After examining her, the doctor recommended the girl to undergo ultrasonography test. In the test result, the doctor found that the minor girl is pregnant of 28 weeks.

The girl’s mother died of shock after hearing the news, local people said.

However, the girl’s father filed a case with local police station accusing two people under Women and Children Repression Prevention Act on Thursday.

According to case statement, a youth named Dulal reaped the girl in accomplice with a woman after giving her sedative. Arrested Dulal is a resident of Farajganj union of Lalmohan upazila.

Sub-inspector Mohaimenul Islam, also the investigation officer of the case, said that the main accused had been arrested and they were trying to nab his accomplice.
