Dasherkandi Sewage Treatment Plant starts trial operation

The project of Dasherkandi Sewage Treatment Plant funded by the concessional loan of the Chinese government, successfully started trial operation of sewage treatment , which is a remarkable milestone towards final taking-over target.
With the sewage implementation of this project, it would be possible to provide modern sewerage service to about 5 million people of Gulshan, Banani, Baridhara, Bashundhara, parliament and adjoining areas including Hatirjheel of the city.
This project ensures environment friendly water management by reducing the dependence on ground water and soon the citizens will get benefit of it.
