Locally-made weapons were recovered from four residential halls on Saturday night after a clash between two groups of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) at Chittagong University.
Additional Superintendent of Chattogram Metropolitan Police (North) Moshiudoula Reza said they raided Shahjalal, Shah Amanat, Shaheed Suhrawardy and Shaheed Abdur Rab halls.
Apart from locally-made weapons, police also recovered several sacks of brick chips.
CU Proctor Prof Monirul Hasan said the raids were carried out after BCL’s factional clashes on November 28 and 29.
No-one was arrested.
At least 10 BCL men were injured in the clashes among followers of CU BCL unit President Rezaul Haque Rubel and former deputy office secretary Mizanur Rahman Bipul.
