The National Technical Advisory Committee formed to tackle the Covid-19 pandemic, has advised the government to reopen the educational institutions across the country from February 22 as infections rate has gone down here.
The committee came up with the recommendation during a meeting with Education Minister Dipu Moni and high officials of her ministry on Wednesday night.
“Covid situation has improved in the country. Educational institutions can be reopened after ensuring vaccination for the students and following health guidelines strictly, Prof Mohammad Shahidullah, president of the national committee told newsmen
Dipu Moni will brief media on reopening of educational institutions at 11am Thursday.
On January 21, the schools and colleges of the country remained closed since January 21 in an effort to curb the spread of Covid-19 pandemic.
