HC orders committee for translation of basic laws into Bengali

The High Court (HC) has ordered formation of a committee to translate mostly used and basic laws from English to Bengali in order to make people understand those easily.
The committee will comprise Supreme Court Registrar General, a representatives from Bangla Academy, Law Commission, Faculty of Law and Department of Bengali of Dhaka University.
The Court has instructed the law ministry to form the committee and submit a progress report in this regard.
At the same time, the Court has asked as to why a rule shall not be issued for publication of an authentic lesson of basic laws in using Bangla language in all courts of the country.
A dual bench of the HC passed the order on Monday.
