2 cousins drown in Natore pond

Two cousins were drowned in an abandoned pond near their house of Singra upazila in Natore on Tuesday morning.
The incident took place at around 10:00 am at Damdama Harigara area of municipality.
The deceased were identified as Kausar Hossain, son of Shamim Hossain and Mim khatun, daughter of Mithu Ali, both of them hailing from the area.
Jahangir, local councilor of ward no 3, said that they slipped into the pond while playing beside their house at the area this morning.
Later, locals spotted the floating bodies of the duo and retrieved them from the pond. Later, they were taken to Singra upazila Health Complex where duty doctor declared them dead.
Nur-e-Alam, officer-in-charge (OC) of Singra Police Station, confirmed the matter.
