Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) President Sayem Sobhan Anvir pushed jewellery industry to a new era.
This was said by speakers at a programme in Mymensingh marking orientation of the new members of BAJUS in the district on Friday.
They said BAJUS President would like to bring all the jewellery traders under one umbrella to ultimately consolidate dignity of the sector.
President of Mymensingh district unit Alhaj Malik Md Hossain presided over event while former BAJUS President and Chairman of BAJUS Standing Committee on Law and Membership MA Wadud Khan was chief guest.
BAJUS assistant secretary and vice-chairman of Standing Committee on Law and Membership Masudur Rahman and BAJUS executive member and member secretary of Standing Committee on Law and Membership Md Ripnul Hasan were present as special guests.
Mymensingh district unit general secretary Chandan Kumar Ghosh delivered welcome address while vice-president of the district MA Kabir addressed the programme.
Initially, mementoes of good wishes were handed over to the guests who joined the event from Dhaka. BAJUS Advisor and Bangladesh Pratidin’s Business Editor Ruhul Amin Rasel received a memento on behalf of BAJUS President Sayem Sobhan Anvir.
In his address, MA Wadud Khan said problems of the sector will gradually be resolved and inconsistence of the business will be removed.
Terming Sayem Sobhan Anvir an enlightened person, he said BAJUS President believes in work and wants to turn the negative perception about gold business into a positive one.
MA Wadud said gold business is an asset for Bangladesh. “We are proud to be involved in this business. Our current president has urged everyone to become member of BAJUS as soon as possible as membership will be tough in the future.”
BAJUS will always be by the side of its members, he added.
Masudur Rahman, Ripnul Hasa, Chandan Kumar Ghosh and others hailed initiatives of BAJUS President Sayem Sobhan Anvir and called upon all members to strengthen his hands for a glorious future of the business.
