Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Maleque has warned of stern actions against bellow standard hospitals.
He came up with the warning at a anniversary programme of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in the capital on Wednesday.
The health minister said “The government is giving attention strictly to the private hospitals so that those institutions have good physicians and necessary equipment. Already, drives are going on. But we do not want to harass anyone.”
He said, “ Around 11,000 diagnostic centres are working in the country to tackle ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. But in recent times, question arise regarding the quality of many private hospitals and diagnostic centres. We will cooperate those who will do good performance. At the same time, we will not be with those who will cheat people. And legal actions will be taken against them.”
