The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) handed down death sentence to a man and imprisonment unto death to three others for committing crimes against humanity during the country’s liberation war.
A three-member bench of International Crimes Tribunal led by its chairman Justice Md Shahinur Islam delivered the verdict in the case on Thursday.
The court also acquitted another person named Sabbir Ahmed of the charges.
The death row convict is Shafi Uddin who remains a fugitive. Three others are Md Tajul Islam, Md Jahed Mia and Chalek Miah.
They were tried for committing offenses including robbery, arson, kidnapping and murder.
