At last Abrar Fahad’s younger brother Abrar Faiyaz has decided to take admission to Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).
Even Faiyaz expressed his desire to stay at Sher-e-Bangla Hall in BUET where his elder brother resided and killed after brutal torture.
Faiyaz shared his decision and desire through a Facebook post at 2:20pm today (Wednesday), according to a media report.
In his post, he said, “ I have decided to get admission in mechanical engineering in the BUET after consultation with all of my family members. I have disclosed my decision as you all shared your opinion.”
Mentioning that none of my family directly told me regarding my admission to Islamic University of Technology (IUT) or BUET, Faiyaz said, “Almost all of us advised me to take admission anywhere as per my wish. So, it can be said that the admission to BUET is my desire.”
Faiyaz said, “All were concerned from the beginning about the security in BUET. But I did not think in this regard. Actually, I did not worry about the memory of my brother by which I will be depressed mentally. I have a desire to stay at Sher-e-Bangla Hall, where my brother resided, if I get a seat there.”
Currently, Faiyaz got admitted to computer science in the IUT of Gazipur. Also, he got the opportunity to take admission to ‘Ka’ unit in the University of Dhaka.
The body of Abrar Fahad, elder brother of Abrar Faiyaz, was recovered from the Sher-e-Bangla Hall in BUET on October 6, 2019. Father of Abrar filed a case with Chawkbazar Police Station in the capital in connection with the killing. A Dhaka court sentenced 20 people to death and five to life term imprisonment for the murder. All the convicts were the student of BUET.
