Death of BUET student Sunny: His 15 friends placed on 3-day remand

A Dhaka court has placed 15 friends of BUET student Tariquzzaman Sunny on 3-day remand in a case involving his mysterious death in the Padma River
Earlier, police prayed to the court for placing 15 friends of Sunny on remand for seven days in the case.
According to the statement of friends, he went missing while taking selfie in the Padma River at Moinot Ghat area of Dohar Thursday noon.
Fire service divers recovered his floating body on Friday nearly 24 hours after the incident.
A case of unnatural death was filed with the police station.
Senior Judicial Magistrate Kazi Ashrafuzzaman passed the order on remand petition filed by police on Saturday.
Sunny along with 15-18 students allegedly went on an outing on Thursday. He died while taking selfie in the Padma River.
