Case, fine if Aedes larvae found in houses: DNCC Mayor

Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Mayor Atiqul Islam urged people to remove unnecessary property from courtyard of house and inside home to protect family members from Aedes mosquitoes.
“From now on, cases will be filed against them if Aedes mosquitoes are found in any home or establishment. Moreover, people will be fined if any larvae are found in their houses during raid,” he said.
He came up with this decision in a public awareness programme at Madhya Para of Khilbarirtek in Badda of Capital at 11 am on Wednesday.
He said, Aedes mosquitoes breed in backyard of the houses and unused containers filled with water on roof.
