Man held with 16 gold bars in Benapole

Member of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested a man along with 16 gold bars, weighing 1.8kg, from Benapole border in Jashore on Wednesday morning.

The arrestee is identified as Jhoney, 40, son of Mizanur Rahman of Chotoachra village under Benapole Port Police station.

The members of BGB 21 Goga Camp arrested him at 9:00am from the area.

 

A process is underway to hand over Jhoney to Sharsha Police Station, BGB said.
