Khandokar Dalia Rahman, who drew media attention two years ago for accompanying BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia to a court riding a scooter in front of her car alone, has been awarded a post in the central committee of Chhatra Dal.
Daila Rahman, termed as the ‘scooty girl of Khaleda Zia’, was made the assistant general secretary of the Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal, the student body of BNP, on Friday night.
A 60-member partial committee of the JCD was approved three months after Fazlur Rahman Khokon and Iqbal Hosen Shyamol were elected president and general secretary of the organisation respectively.
Earlier, Dalia Rahman was an aspirant for JCD’s general secretary post. She even submitted a nomination paper before the JCD council polls. However, she decided not to vie for the past at that time.
Two years ago, a photo of her, escorting Khaleda Zia to a Dhaka court on scooter, went viral on social media platforms and drew massive media coverage.
Wearing shirt, eye glasses, jeans skintight pants, Dalia Rahman gave Khaleda Zia a ‘motorcycle protocol ride.’
