BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said the party is going to take part in the upcoming city corporation elections, although it has doubt about the fairness.
The BNP secretary general made the remark on Wednesday morning after attending an event.
Raising objection regarding the use of electronic voting machine (EVM) in the city polls, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said vote rigging will be legalised through this system.
He said, “No elections under this Government and Election Commission would be free and fair. But we are taking part in the city elections as we believe in democracy.”
