Motorcyclist killed in Dhaka road accident

A motorcyclists was killed in a road accident in Dhaka’s Sabujbagh area on Monday morning.
The victim was Sohrab Hossain, 45, son of Shamsuddin of the area. He was a sand trader.
Sabujbagh police sub-inspector Faruk, quoting witnesses, said that the accident took place at about 7:00am.
A sand-laden truck hit Sohrab’s motorcycle from back, leaving him critically injured.
He was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
The SI said that they were trying to arrest the truck driver.
The body was kept at the hospital morgue for post-mortem examinations, he added.
