Registration time for hajj pilgrims extended for 7 days

Seven more days have been granted for registration of hajj pilgrims this year.
The decision was unveiled at a press release issued by Ministry of Religious Affairs on Tuesday.
Hajj registration has begun since February 8. It was scheduled to end on February 23. Later, the registration was extended till February 28.
As per the ministry, a total of 22,464 hajj pilgrims have been registered till February 28.
If moon is sighted, the hajj for this year will be held on June 27. As per the agreement with Saudi Arabia, a total of 1,27,198 pilgrims will be able to perform hajj this year.
Tk 6,83,018 is needed to perform hajj by government arrangement this year while Tk 6,72,618 is needed by private agencies. The package includes plane fair Tk 1,97,797.
