Today is the seventh anniversary of the death of eminent film and television actress Parveen Sultana Diti.
Diti was born on March 31, 1965 in Sonargaon of Narayanganj. She began her career as a singer. She sung for Bangladesh Television, and later acted in the TV drama titled Laili Majnu opposite of actor Manas Bandopadhyay.
She made her silver screen debut after participating in the talent hunt contest titled Natun Mukher Sandhane.
Directed by Ajmal Huda, her first released film was Ami-e Ostad. She acted in more than 200 films during her career.
Parveen Sultana Diti-acted films include Parbat, Swami Stree, Dui Jiban, Bhai Bandhu, Kathin Pratishodh, Sneher Pratidan, Uchhila, Charam Aghat, Mukti, Shesh Upahar, Hira Moti and Megher Koley Rod.
She received the National Film Award in 1986 for her acting in the film Swami Stree.
She died on March 20, 2016.
