Court rejects DIG Mizan’s bail plea

A Dhaka court on Sunday rejected a bail petition of suspended Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police Mizanur Rahman in two cases filed by Anti Corruption Commission (ACC).

Judge KM Emrul Kayesh of Senior Special Judge’s Court in Dhaka passed the order after Mizan’s lawyer submitted petition seeking bail in the cases.

The court also fixed February 9 for submitting reports on the two cases over transaction of Tk 40 lakh as bribe.
