The metro rail will run for four hours in the afternoon on the Eid-ul-Fitr day, said officials of the Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited on Monday.
On the day, the trains will run between 2:00pm and 6:00pm with an interval of 20 minutes between two trips.
From April 20 to the day after Eid the trains will run as usual between 8:00am and 2:00pm. The interval between two trips will be 20 minutes, instead of an interval of 10 minutes during normal days.
This year, the Eid-Ul-Fitr is expected to be celebrated on April 22.
Now, the trains are running on the Uttara-Agargaon route between 8:00am and 2:00pm everyday except Tuesdays.
