‘Inherent Bond’ showcases nature

Artists displayed paintings addressing nature, landscape, rustic life, cityscape and more in a group art exhibition held at the Safiuddin Shilpalay at Dhanmondi in the capital.

The three-day exhibition titled Inherent Bond, organised by Bangla Canvas, featured 40 acrylic and mixed media artworks created by 16 artists of Bangla Canvas and six guest artists.

 

Bangla Canvas members, namely Mohiuddin Ahmed, Abu Kalam Shamsuddin, Jinat Rehana, Nazmun Nahar Rahman, Fatema Akter Bristy, Porita Haque, ASM Aftab Hossain, Md Sohel Rana, Shuvra Talukder and others participated in the exhibition.

Besides, guest artists, namely Abdul Mannan, Alauddin Ahmed, Wahiduzzaman, GM Khalilur Rahman, Zahid Mustafa and Rashid Amin displayed their artworks in Inherent Bond.

Artist Rashid Amin displayed an acrylic painting titled Cloud and Trees, which shows mountains covered with greenery.

Artist Zahid Mustafa’s acrylic painting titled Madona in Nature shows a mother and her child.

Artist Abdul Mannan’s acrylic painting titled Beautiful Bangladesh depicts a village.

Artist Mohiuddin Ahmed’s acrylic painting titled My Surroundings shows village and city life.

Artist Fatema Akter Bristy’s acrylic painting titled Megehr Deshe shows a river under a sky full of colourful clouds.

Artist Atia Anjum Anika’s mixed media painting titled Harmonious comprises flower-like patterns depicting the ups and downs of life.

‘Artist Mohd Mohiuddin Ahmed played an important role in organising the exhibition. The exhibition aims at connecting young artists with senior artists. The artworks displayed in the exhibition promote the scenic beauty of Bangladesh. Besides, artists displayed several experimental works inspired by nature in the exhibition,’ said Fatema Akter Bristy, founder of Bangla Canvas.

The exhibition, which was inaugurated by theatre activist Mamunur Rashid on May 1, ended on Wednesday.
