Two more devotees died at Biswa Ijtema venue in Tongi on Friday night.
With these, the death toll at the Ijtema venue rose to seven so far.
The deceased were identified as Tamij Uddin, 65, son of late Sobhan, hailing from Binglabari area of Debwider upazila in Cumilla and Md Shahjahan, 65, from Brahmanbaria.
Confirming the news, Adam Ali, a caretaker of Maslehal Jamaat, said both of them died of old age complications.
Biswa Ijtema, the second largest Muslim congregation after the holy Hajj, began after Fajr prayers on Friday with Aam Bayan on the bank of the Turag River at Tongi in Gazipur.
The first phase of the Islamic religious rite will be held for the next three days. The second phase will begin on January 17 for three days, organisers said.
After the end of the first-phase Ijtema, an Akheri Munajat will be held, seeking peace and prosperity of the Muslim Ummah.
