BCB considering Mashrafe to be a mentor at WC

The Bangladesh Cricket Board is considering former national team captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza to be a mentor for the Tigers during the forthcoming ICC World Cup scheduled to be held in India in October and November. ‘Now it’s the board’s decision. Of course [BCB will discuss], Mashrafe is a member of parliament, former captain,’ Jalal told reporters in Chattogram on Tuesday. Jalal added that the cricket board will officially discuss the issue if Mashrafe wants to take the role. ‘But let him come officially to us. He is a good captain and leader as well. If he considers playing the role, we will discuss.’ Mashrafe played a key role in Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal’s recent U-turn from retirement.
