Gulshan turns battlefield as traders clash with police

Gulshan area of Dhaka turned into a battlefield as traders clashed with police over the closure of the risky Gulshan Shopping Centre.
The clash ensued at around 4:30 pm on Thursday when the police removed the protesting traders from Gulshan-1 avenue.
The traders started to begin the protest as the authorities of Dhaka North City Corporation sealed off the shopping centre.
Altercation began between the businessmen and police following a three and a half hour long blockade of the road in Gulshan.
At one stage, chase and counter chase started between the police and traders and clash began.
Later, the agitating traders vandalised several vehicles.
