Farida Akhtar Poppy, popularly known as Bobita, who gained fame in country and across the world through the movie “Ashani Sanket” directed by Satyajit Ray, has planned to spend whole day with her son on her birthday.

Born on July 31 (today), the ‘Ashani Sanket’ fame actress is now staying in Canada with her son. Her only son Anik has been staying in Canada for a few years. Bobita’s son has bought a house in the country. Every year, the actress goes to the country celebrating her birthday.

Bobita was star in many famous movies including Golapi Ekhon Traine, Noyon Moni, etc. Today is the birthday of the renowned actress.

Asking about the plan of her birthday, the actress said Anik will take me for a walk on the occasion of my birthday. I, along with my son Anik, will go to Toronto today spending the day in the city.

On August 4, the actress will be given Lifetime Achievement Award by the Mayor of  Dallas for her outstanding  contribution in the film industry. “Bengali Film Festival of Dallas will start with Bobita starrer film ‘Noyon Moni’.

About the award, the actress said “This is a big achievement.”
