A Sunamganj court has granted bail to thirty-two people, including 24 Buet students, in a case filed after police arrested them when they were on a trip to Sunamganj’s Tanguar Haor on July 30.
Judge Farhan Sadik of Judicial Magistrate Court-4 in Sunamganj passed the order on Wednesday.
Taibur Rahman Babul, the lawyer of the accused, said the court granted bail to 32 people on bond of Tk 5000 each.
Thirty-four persons including 24 current students of Buet were picked up by police on July 30. They had gone on the trip from Dhaka.
The next day, police filed a case against them under the Anti-Terrorism Act on charges of planning a “secret conspiracy” against the government.
