The High Court on Sunday asked its registrar to ensure hanging of the court order at the gate of the main opposition Bangladesh Nationalist Party chairperson’ office at Gulshan in Dhaka to notify the Party’s acting chairman Tarique Rahman, who has been staying abroad.

The High Court earlier in 2015 issued a rule asking the government and Tarique Rahman to explain as to why appropriate action should not be taken to prohibit publication of Tarique’s statement.

But Tarique was not notified about the High Court ruling as there was mistake in the address of the BNP chairperson office, the writ petition filed by pro-Awami League lawyer Nashreen Siddiqua Luna seeking action to ban publication of Tarique in all media and online platform mentioned.

As the petitioner prayed to the High Court to hear the rule, the HC found that Tarique was not notified about the order.

The court also found that Tarique’s address was not correct.

The court asked the petitioner Nashreen to correct the address  and serve the ruling afresh to the address .
