Biman staff held with 68 gold bars at Dhaka airport

Armed Police Battalion on Monday said that they had detained an employee of Biman Bangladesh Airlines along with 68 gold bars weighting around eight kilogrammes at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
The APBn’s airport unit spokesman Muhammad Ziaul Haque said that on Monday morning that Biman aircraft mechanic Shafikul Islam, 33, was captured in front of airport hanger at about 10:00pm on Sunday.
He said that Biman flight 383 landed at the airport from Malaysia at 7:00pm and the aircraft was taken to the hanger at about 9:30pm.
At about 10:00pm, the technician went inside the aircraft alone and later was found along with gold bars on search.
