BNP’s Dulu, Tanti Dal leader Azad among others picked up

BNP organising secretary Ruhul Quddus Talukdar Dulu was picked up by police on Tuesday night from his Gulshan residence in the capital, claimed the party leaders.
Meanwhile, Jatiyatabadi Tanti Dal convener Abul Kalam Azad, Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal president Nazmul Alam Nazu and some other party leaders and activists have been picked up.
BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi alleged that they were picked up by plain clothes.
Ruhul Quddus was detained from Gulshan residence around 1:30pm. His personal secretary Rony said, “Ruhul Quddus has been accused in several cases. But he is on bail in all cases.”
Around 10:30pm, Kafrul police picked up Abul Kalam Azad in front of his Shewrapara office.
BNP will hold a mass rally at Nayapaltan office in the capital on Wednesday afternoon for its one-point demand.
