Three killed as pick-up van hits roadside tree in Sunamganj

Three people were killed and two others injured as a fish-carrying pick-up van hit a roadside tree in Barakapon area under Chhatak upazila in Sunamganj Tuesday morning.
The names of the deceased could be known as Abdul Karim, Nurul Haque and Asad Uddin.
According to police and local people, a group of fish traders were going to Sylhet from Jamalganj in Sunamganj to sell fish by a pick-up van.
On their way to Sylhet, when the pick-up van reached Barakapon area under Chhatak upazila, the driver lost control over the steering and the vehicle hit a roadside tree, leaving the three dead on the spot and two others injured.
Jaykalas Highway Police’s sub-inspector Abdul Kabir confirmed the news of deaths and injuries in the accident.
