Bangladesh national cricket team’s captain Shakib Al Hasan is set to depart for London on Sunday night for taking consultation from an eye-specialist doctor.
The best all-rounder is supposed to return to country before kicking off this year’s Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), a BCB medical source confirmed.
Shakib, also a newly-elected parliament member, joined a practice session with his BPL team Rangpur Riders on Sunday where he was seen to bat wearing an eye-glass.
He suffered a lot with his eyes during the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup held in India between October and November last year.
Shakib could not come round of the situation despite receiving treatment for two phases in India earlier. He, in the meantime, also took consultation from two eye-specialist doctors but no solution came from that. That’s why he has to depart for London with the problem.
