After a two-week break, the main opposition party Bangladesh Nationalist Party on Sunday announced a new programme for two days.
The party has announced a two-day black flag procession programme to demand the release of all the political prisoners.
Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, senior joint secretary general of the party, in a press conference at the central office of BNP in Naya Paltan of Dhaka, said that BNP would hold black flag processions in all the district headquarters of the country on January 26 and in all the major cities of the country on January 27.
‘We are announcing a two-day black flag procession protesting against the unlimited increase in commodity prices, and demanding the release of all political prisoners including BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia, withdrawal of all false cases and dissolving the illegal parliament,’ he added.
BNP enforced agitation programmes until the day of general election held on January 7 but it did not give any program after that.
