Planning minister Major General (retired) Abdus Salam said on Tuesday that the Bangladesh government was considering to utilise Chinese experience for formulating the next national five-year plan.
He made the statement while talking to reporters after Chinese ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen paid a courtesy call on him at the planning commission on the day.
Bangladesh and China are among the few countries in the world that implement five-year plan, said the Chinese ambassador while talking to reporters.
Bangladesh has been implementing the 8th five-year plan, which will expire in 2025, while China has been implementing the 14th five-year plan, he added.
