Weather may remain mainly dry with partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country, said a met office forecast for the next 24 hours begins from 9:00am on Tuesday.

Rain or thundershowers is likely to occur at one or two places over Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal and Sylhet divisions.

Light to moderate fog may occur at places over the country during late night to early morning, the forecast added.

Country’s maximum temperature on Monday was recorded 32.0 degrees Celsius at Sitakunda and Tuesday’s minimum temperature 11.3 degrees Celsius was recorded at Tetulia.

Night temperature may rise by 1-2 degrees Celsius and day temperature may fall slightly over the country.

Trough of westerly low lies over West Bengal and adjoining areas. Seasonal low lies over the South Bay.

The sun will set at 05.57pm on Tuesday and rise at 06.28am on Wednesday in the capital.
