Brazilian ambassador to Bangladesh Paulo Fernando Dias Feres on Thursday said that what China was doing in the region was against the international laws.
He was responding to a question on Brazil’s position about the United States’ Indo-Pacific Strategy and the China’s Belt and Road Initiative as he was addressing the DCAB talk, organised by Diplomatic Correspondents Associaton, Bangladesh, at the Press Club in Dhaka.
He said that Brazil followed international laws and was observing the situation in the region.
About the Rohingya crisis, he said that it was a regional crisis and the international community should help Bangladesh hosting over a million displaced Rohingyas from Myanmar.
‘Repatriation is the only solution to the crisis,’ he said.
