Amid the increasing fear of Coronavirus spread, a Bangladeshi student, who reached Dhaka airport from China on Thursday morning, was admitted to Kurmitola General Hospital after he was diagnosed with fever at the airport.
Director general (DG) of Directorate general of Health Services (DGHS) Abul Kalam Azad confirmed this to media on Thursday noon.
“The China returnee student reached at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the city on Thursday morning. He was diagnosed with fever in the archway thermal scanners at the airport after his arrival,” he said.
The DG said he was hospitalised as he got fever.
“We are conducting tests to be certain if he is infected with the noble Coronavirus,” Abul Kalam Azad added.
