Nasrin Sports Academy became unbeaten champions of the nine-team Bangladesh Women’s Football League with a crushing 13-0 win over Dhaka Rangers Football Club at the Birshreshtha Shaheed Sepahi Mohammad Mustafa Kamal Stadium in Kamalapur on Tuesday.
With Tuesday’s win, Nasrin SA, who finished runners-up in the 2019-20 season, ended the table with 22 points from eight games, while ARB College Sporting Club finished as runners-up with 19 points from the same number of outings.
This was the third time in a row that ARB College SC finished second on the table since their maiden appearance in the 2020–21 season, while Army Sporting Club finished third on their first appearance in the league under former national women’s team coach Golam Rabbani Choton.
Bangladesh national women’s team captain Sabina Khatun, who scored five goals for Nasrin SA on Tuesday, raised her individual tally to 17 goals to win the most goal scorers accolade.
Army SC forward Mst Sultana, who scored 11 goals, was adjudged the most valuable player of the league.
