All coaching centres across the country will remain closed from June 29 to August 11 as this year’s Higher Secondary School Certificate and equivalent examinations will begin on June 30 under 11 education boards across Bangladesh.
‘A total of 14,50,790 students — 7,50,281 male students and 7,00,509 female students — are expected to sit for the exams at 2,725 centres, from 9,463 educational institutes across the country,’ said education minister Mohibul Hassan Chowdhury while addressing a press conference at the secretariat in Dhaka.
He said that the HSC and equivalent exams would be held fulltime on all subjects and on the rearranged syllabus.
He also said that they gave instructions to the exam centre officials to take special measures to prevent dengue.
The minister also said that HSC and equivalent examinations would be deferred if the flood situation worsened in any area.
He said that they were observing the flood situation.
