The main opposition Bangladesh Nationalist Party announced partial convening committees for its three cities, including Dhaka, Chattogram and Barishal.
The party issued a press release signed by its senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi in this regard on Sunday.
The party formed a two-member partial committee for its Dhaka North unit with former Jatiyatabadi Juba Dal president Saiful Alam Nirob as convener and BNP sports secretary Aminul Haque as member secretary.
The Dhaka Metropolitan South unit convening committee was formed with Dhaka Metropolitan South BNP member secretary Rafiqul Alam Majnu as convener and former joint convener Tanvir Ahmed Robin as member secretary.
The partial convening committee for the Chattogram Metropolitan unit of the party comprises two members, including convener, party leader Ershadullah, and member secretary, former Chhatra Dal leader Nazimur Rahman.
The three-member partial convening committee for the Barisal Metropolitan unit of the party was formed with former convener of the party’s Barisal Metropolitan unit Moniruzzaman Khan Faruq as convener, former joint convener Md Ziauddin Sikder Zia as member secretary and former Chhatra Dal leader Afroza Khanam Nasrin as 1st joint convener.
