Students of the metropolitan areas in Bangladesh can ride the city service buses at half fare every day from Tuesday, September 24, 2024, said bus owners.

A press release issued by the Bangladesh Road Transport Owner’s Association on Monday also read that the students could ride with half bus fare between 6:00am and 12:00am every day.

For availing the facilities of half fare, the students must wear uniforms or have student Identification cards with them, it also read.

The release added that the decision would be in effect only in the metropolitan areas.

Earlier since December 1, 2021 the students could ride city service buses with half fare for five working days per week following a gazette notification by the Bangladesh Road Transport Authority.
