The Judiciary Reform Commission formed by Bangladesh’s interim government is scheduled to exchange views with the delegation of the Carter Centre and Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry on Sunday as part of its consultation with stakeholders.
Commission Secretary, district and sessions judge, Mohammad Faruque told BSS that the commission would have a meeting with a delegation of ‘Carter Center Bangladesh’, a non-profit organization working on social issues including human rights and election monitoring, at 10:00am.
It will hold another meeting with the FBCCI at 3:00pm on the same day, he added.
The commission, as well, is scheduled to hold discussions with the Bangladesh Judicial Service Commission at 2:30pm on November 11 and a UNDP delegation at 11:30am on November 18, Faruque said.
Earlier, it held a meeting with a seven-member delegation of the Supreme Court Bar Association on October 24.
In order to inform the media and people about these issues, the work of forming a website of the commission is under process.
