Fire breaks out at cotton warehouses in Tongi

A fire broke out at some cotton warehouses in Tongi on the outskirts of the capital on Saturday noon.
Senior station officer Md Atiqur Rahman of Tongi Fire Service and Civil Defence confirmed this to media.
He said, “The fire originated at a cotton warehouse in Tongi Mill Gate area near Gazipur City Corporation office at around 12:00 pm.”
Atiqur also informed that, “Six units of firefighters rushed to the spot and were working to douse the blaze.”
The reason behind the fire could not be known immediately.
