Son to die for killing mother in Kushtia

A court in Kushtia on Tuesday sentenced a man to death for killing his mother of Daulatpur upazila in Kushtia in 2018.
The convicted person is Jewel Sarder alias Jewel Rana, son of Azizul Sarder, hailing from Angdia area at Ariya union of the upazila.
District and Sessions Judges’ Court Judge Arup Kumar Goswami passed the order while the convicted Jewel stood in the dock.
According to the case statement, Jewel hacked his mother Banera Khatun to death over a family feud on September 23, 2018.
The convict’s father Azizul Sarder filed a case with Daulatpur police station accusing Jewel of the murder the next day.
