Jatiya Party (JaPa) Chairman and Deputy Leader of the Opposition in Parliament Golam Muhammad Quader on Saturday said the government is taking all possible steps to face any coronavirus outbreak.
“We have to remain cautious though the rate of death from coronavirus spate is very low. The disease is spreading fast across the world. Coronavirus unit has been opened in every hospital in Bangladesh where the situation is not so dangerous,” he said.
The JaPa chairman said this while talking to journalists after offering Fateha at the graves of his late father Alhaj Md. Mokbul Hossain and late mother Mazida Khatun at Munshipara Central Graveyard in the city.
GM Quader said the Bangladesh government is taking all necessary steps and doing the needful to manage the situation in case of any coronavirus outbreak and everyone should be cautious and none should be panic.
JaPa Presidium Member and Mayor of Rangpur Mostafizar Rahman Mostafa, Joint General Secretary of the central committee of JaPa and General Secretary of its Rangpur city unit SM Yasser, Vice-president of district JaPa Azmal Hossain Lebu, its Joint General Secretary Alhaj Abdur Razzaque, among others, were present.
