It is good news indeed! Two of the three patients diagnosed with Covid-19 have tested negative in the second set of tests conducted on them yesterday, said the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) on Wednesday.
“Two of the three people infected with the coronavirus have made the full recovery. They tested negative in a retest on Tuesday. They’ll be discharged from the hospital soon as per WHO protocol,” Director of Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control, and Research (IEDCR) Meerjady Sabrina Flora told the daily news briefing on the situation on Wednesday.
The third patient, however, tested positive in the second test but is currently in stable condition, she said.
However, IEDCR screened ten people in the 24 hours to Wednesday noon but did not detect the virus, Flora said.
“It means the number of coronavirus patients in Bangladesh is still three,” Flora said.
