The privately-run TV channel NTV’s Chief of Program Mostofa Kamal Sayed has died from COVID-19 at Square Hospital in Dhaka.
The NTV official, who tested positive with coronavirus, breathed his last at the hospital around 1:30pm on Sunday, sources from the TV channel said.
The 78-year-old was admitted to Square Hospital with Covid-19 infection on May 15.
He started his TV career in Bangladesh Television in 1967 as a Program Producer.
NTV Chairman and Managing Director Mosaddek Ali Falu and all members of ntv family expressed deep shock for his death.
