2 drivers killed in Laxmipur road crash

Two drivers were killed in a head-on collision between a truck and a pick-up van in Chowdhurypool area under Raipur upazila of Laxmipur early Saturday.
Details about the victims, age around 38, hailing from Narayanganj and 45, from Munshiganj, could not be known yet.
Tota Mia, officer-in-charge (OC) of Raipur Police station, said that the stone-laden truck from Chandpur collided with the pick-up van from Raipur coming from opposite direction on Raipur-Chandpur regional road, leaving two drivers of the vehicles injured.
Later, locals took the injured to Laxmipur Sadar Hospital where duty doctor declared them dead, the OC said, adding that the bodies were sent to the hospital morgue for autopsies.
