A Dhaka court has placed managing director of Regent Hospital Mizanur Rahman on a ten-day remand in a case filed for providing fake Covid-19 negative reports to Metro Rail workers.

Metropolitan Magistrate Md Mainul Islam passed the order after Yadur Rahman, a sub-inspector of Uttara Paschim Police Station and also investigation officer of the case, produced her before the court with a ten-day remand prayer on Saturday.

Earlier on Friday night, police arrested Mizanur Rahman from a house in Gopalganj.

Rezaul Karim, on behalf of a sub-contractor organisation of Metro Rail project, filed the case with Uttara Paschim Police Station against Regent Hospital chairman Shahed, MD Mizan and some other persons on charge of supplying fake Covid-19 negative certificate to 76 workers on Monday.
