Coronavirus: Global death toll climbs to 867,362

The novel coronavirus has killed 867,362 people in the  213 countries and territories since the virus emerged in China last December, according to latest data from worldometer.

So far 26,182,808 cases have been detected, 18,447,188 people have been considered recovered from the deadly disease worldwide at 11:00 am till Thursday (05:00 GMT).

Apart from this, the number of active cases are 6,868,258.

 

With the fresh tally around 24-hour, 6,088 people deaths were reported from the virus while 277,979 infections have been diagnosed, and 250,672 patients have made fully recovery.

Among the coronavirus affected countries, the US has gone up to 189,964 deaths, followed by Brazil with 123,899; Mexico 65,816; India 67,486; Italy 35,497; France 30,686; Iran 21,797; Russia 17,414; Indonesia 7,616; Iraq 7,201; Pakistan 6,328; China 4,634; Bangladesh 4,351; Saudi Arabia 3,956; UAE 387 and Malaysia 128 respectively, worldometer reported.
